A Few Tips To Avoid Wireless Interference

Posted June 4, 2015 by Webpass

Let’s talk about wireless interference! It happens to all of us and we’re here to help you get through it. Your laptop, tablet, phone, online video streaming and gaming devices all fill your home with wireless interference often causing some devices to work better than others. Wireless usage by neighbors can also cause interference to your devices, especially during peak hours, such as in the evenings. However, we’ve provided a few tips for limiting the wireless signal in your home:

1. Roku, apple tv, game consoles, and tv’s should connect with a wire
2. Turn off wireless devices, not in use
3. Using N or AC interface devices for better wireless performance with devices that do move like your
phone, tablet, etc.

We strongly encourage you to use wired connections for performance and wireless for convenience only.
