Introducing Jumping Jake

Posted January 22, 2015 by Webpass

In 2003, Webpass was only serving San Francisco, but when our founder Charles recognized he could bring the same fast and reliable Internet to areas beyond San Francisco, he strategically started growing the business in the greater Bay Area and other major urban markets. As the company expanded geographically, Charles came up with a mascot to represent this explosive growth. We’d like to introduce you to Jumping Jake- the leader of our Webpass pack. Jake doesn’t just represent our geographic expansion, but also our network engineers as they often jump from one building to the next delivering blazing fast speeds. His namesake is one such Webpass engineer, Jake, who was one of the company’s first employees. Today, both engineer Jake and Jumping Jake continue to jump from building to building in San Francisco, Oakland, San Diego, Miami and Chicago. And, in 2015, they have big plans to jump even further.
