Marking a Milestone: 1000 Customers with 1000 Mbps
Webpass hit an exciting milestone this week – 1000 residential customers with Gig service in San Francisco and San Diego.
Why is this a big deal? Obviously, because customers want faster service! But more importantly, it’s another demonstration of Webpass’ leadership in the industry. We are not announcing the possibility of Gig service in the future, or asking customers to sign up for DSL with the promise that sometime in the future we will bring Gig service, or asking a city to change the rules just for us. We are actually delivering Gig service to real paying customers who love it.
And we’re not done. This is just another upgrade milestone among many that Webpass has achieved and will continue to achieve. Webpass launched…
- 10 Mbps service in 2003
- 45 Mbps service in 2005
- 100 Mbps service in 2007
- 200 Mbps service in 2011
- 500 Mbps service in 2014
- 1000 Mbps service (Gig) in 2015
Webpass is continually improving our service for our customers as that is what they pay us for. However, in the spirit of announcing service before it’s ready, let us be the first to announce Webpass 2 Gig service! Yes we are working on it – and it’s closer than you imagine…
