Webpass Launches 100 Mbps Broadband Service at 250 King Street

Posted October 11, 2007 by Webpass

Webpass launched a 100 Mbps broadband Internet service at The Beacon today by activating the first residential customer. All residents at The Beacon can now purchase a 100 Mbps broadband service for only $40 per month. Webpass’ 100 Mbps service is significantly faster than the broadband services offered from the phone company (6 Mbps) or the cable company (12 Mbps). Additionally Webpass’ broadband service is synchronous which means the upload and download speeds are equally fast. Webpass delivers the 100 Mbps broadband service completely independently of the phone or TV company giving residents true choice among providers. Residents can purchase broadband from Webpass, phone service from another company, and television from a third company without any issues. “Everybody has heard about how fast the Internet is in Japan or Korea. At The Beacon we are offering a 100 Mbps service which is as fast as any residential connection in the world for $40 per month,” commented Charles Barr President of Webpass. “We are hoping for a great response from the tech savvy residents in this property.”
