    The Network
The Webpass network includes thousands of network devices, from a diverse group of manufacturers, deployed across five cities. The network topography changes weekly and our BGP and OSPF configurations expand accordingly as we add more locations to our network. We do not resell or rely on the phone company’s network like other ISPs—we operate an 100% autonomous network.

    The Opportunity
Webpass is Simple, Urban Internet. We do one thing, and we do it really well. As an engineer on our team, you’ll be pivotal to facilitating the growth and stability of our network. This is no small feat! Prepare to grow your experience and skills exponentially, while seeing the work you do reach thousands of customers across the nation.

    The Role
This role is integral to our Boston team and involves configuring equipment, monitoring and maintaining the network, providing guidance to our Technical Support Engineers on advanced technical support questions, and going out into the field to troubleshoot network issues.

You will respond to network emergencies, improve network monitoring and insight, address and revise any network deficiencies, and improve our overall network stability.

Quite simply, projects and tasks you work on at the beginning of the day, will have a meaningful and real impact on our customers by that night. And you’ll get to be part of a team that is changing the ISP industry, with a cutting edge approach to what a network can and should be.

    What you bring to it:
    • 2 years of switched network experience in a Network Admin or Network Engineer role
    • Superior troubleshooting skills
    • Experience configuring equipment including switches, servers, radios, etc
    CCNA certification

    What we offer:
    • Competitive base salary
    • Monthly company-wide bonus
    • Top notch Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
FSA, 401K and Commuter Benefit programs
    • Short Term & Long Term Disability and Life Insurance
    • Three weeks paid time off

To apply: please email your resume to resumes@webpass.net, and reference the Boston Network Engineer role.

Installation Technician - Wednesday through Sunday

Webpass is hiring an Installation Technician to join our Boston team. This role is 40 hours per week, with a Wednesday – Sunday schedule.

    The Opportunity
We’re actively hiring an Installation Technician to help launch our newest market. This is the first Installation Technician role joining our Boston team so this is an opportunity to make the role your own.

We offer our Boston team job security coupled with true work/life balance. This is a full time, in-house role working for a company with an in-demand service and rave reviews on Yelp. Beyond that we offer 3 weeks paid time off, health benefits, and company sponsored Disability coverage and Life Insurance.

And you’ll be building our market from the ground up, so bragging rights aside, this is a strategic role driving penetration in a market eager for a different, and better option.

    The Role
Customers love our service, and that’s not just because of our speeds or our price. It’s because of our simplicity of set-up, which starts with our best-in-class residential installation team.

You’ll perform residential customer installations, meeting with customers at their apartment or condo to install service. The CAT 6 cable is already in the wall, but you will verify the jack is punched down correctly, make any required cross connects to complete the connection all the way back to the telecom closet, and connect the customer’s equipment.

Beyond installations, our team provides maintenance, disconnects and troubleshooting in the Webpass residential buildings.

And given that this is a new market, from time to time – you will have the opportunity to help build our network by providing extra support to our Network Constructiion Technician and installing and terminate CAT6 and fiber optic cables, creating cable pathways, and mounting radios.

As the only Webpass employee that many of our customers meet face-to-face, our Technicians are our brand ambassadors, building our brand in new markets by representing our company with the highest level of professionalism, so beyond technical ability we look for new hires who are great with our customers.

    What you bring to it:
    • Complete understanding of the physical layer, CAT6, 66 and 110 blocks, patch panels, multimode fiber, etc.
    • One year of experience installing CAT 6 Ethernet networks in residential and commercial environments

    • Superior troubleshooting sklls related to routers, switches and hubs, and streaming devices
    • Valid drivers license
    • Legal documents to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)

    What we offer:
    • Competitive base salary
    • Monthly company-wide bonus
    • Top notch Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
    • FSA, 401K and Commuter Benefit programs
    • Short Term & Long Term Disability and Life Insurance
    • Three weeks paid time off
