    San Francisco

    Software Engineer

    Webpass, an Alphabet company, is hiring a Software Engineer to join our team in San Francisco.

    Webpass is a standalone business unit within Google Fiber (acquired in Aug. 2016) that leverages point-to-point wireless technologies to deliver high-speed broadband services to residents in apartment and condo buildings, as well as small businesses. Webpass operates in six markets: San Francisco, San Diego, Miami, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle. Webpass is revolutionizing what customers can expect from their Internet Service Provider. We do one thing, and we do it really well.

    The Role
    We need a talented software engineer to develop customer-facing products and enterprise tools that power our business growth. This position requires a well-rounded skill set up and down the stack, but leans towards back-end and application development. Engineering at Webpass offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of enterprise products and engineering challenges including:

    -CRM/ERP
    -Network monitoring and device management
    -Financial and accounting systems
    -Analytics, reporting and large-scale data processing
    -Field service and dispatch management

    Job Responsibilities
    -Work cross-functionally with leaders, UX, and end users to build features and shape our long-term technical roadmap.
    -Architect enterprise tools and systems from the ground-up.
    -Scale and improve existing Webpass software to meet the needs of our growing business and customer base.
    -Leverage tools and platforms in the Alphabet/Google ecosystem along with third-party vendors.

    What we’re looking for:
    -5+ years of relevant experience with software development and implementation.
    -5+ years developing enterprise software and systems.
    -Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: -Python/Java/Ruby/C++.
    -Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    -Experience developing APIs and integrating third-party services.
    -Experience working with a large, legacy codebase on a cross functional team.
    -Solid knowledge of SQL and ORMs.

    Bonus points:
    -Previous experience with large-scale Ruby on Rails applications.
    -Linux and basic system administration skills.
    -Developed systems at an ISP or telecom company.
    -Job experience at an Alphabet company.

    Marketing Associate

    The Role: Marketing Associate

    Be a part of a small, scrappy hands-on team dedicated to designing and implementing the marketing campaigns that will help change the way high speed internet gets delivered to the home. As a Marketing Associate, you bring strategic marketing experience and strong analytical marketing skills, which allow you to build and execute scalable programs to help deliver on targets! You have a data and experiment driven approach to growth, with testing and iterating in your DNA. You’re a passionate content creator and strong writer. You come to Webpass with a track record of delivering high impact, creative concepts on time and to specification. You are a “can do” person who enjoys fine-tuning small details, as much as you do strategically thinking about the big picture!

    In this role, you will be the go-to resource for execution across digital, social, and traditional media! You will have first hand knowledge of how test campaigns perform, and the team will rely on your analytical skills to summarize and report key findings, which will directly impact our strategy company wide.

    Job Responsibilities:

    -Lead & project-­manage execution of multiple high-impact programs inline with company OKRs
    -Act as the conduit between Sales and Marketing to ensure that programs are delivered in accordance with brand guidelines
    -Work closely with internal and external designers, writers, product leads and third-party agencies to deliver a great output
    -Create and maintain a marketing calendar to ensure cross functional alignment
    -Bring your great ideas to the strategy discussions to develop and evolve our voice in push marketing channels
    -Write/Create content for the website and social channels and x-channel marketing campaigns
    -With Marketing operations and analytics, assist in devising and executing testing strategies to improve engagement
    -Deploy marketing campaigns for all existing markets and develop a playbook for future market expansion opportunities
    -Proactively evaluate and present results of your programs, making recommendations for further campaign optimization and new areas of focus

    Minimum Qualifications:

    -BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
    -1-2 year experience in B2C Marketing / Online marketing (could include internships)
    -Strong track record of project management and execution
    -Ability to work effectively across functions and geography
    -Experience creating content for websites, social media, and other marketing channels

    Preferred Qualifications:

    -Interest and knowledge of the telecom/ISPwireless sector
    -Ability to at the same time deliver big budget and low cost projects
    -Strong creative judgment
    -Strong analytical skills
    -Strong writing skills
    -Strong interpersonal skills and ability to understand partners’ strategic background & objectives
