    Network Administrator

    Webpass from Google Fiber is hiring a Network Administrator to join our Seattle team!

    The Opportunity:
    We’re looking for a dynamic Network Administrator to support our growing network and provide tier II support to the Seattle field office (downtown location). As a member of our Seattle team, you’ll have the opportunity to play a significant role in building our network in Seattle. This is a fixed-term role through February 2019.

    The Network:
    The Webpass network includes thousands of network devices, from a diverse group of manufacturers, deployed across 6 cities. The network topography changes weekly and our BGP and OSPF configurations expand accordingly as we add more locations to our network. We do not resell or rely on the phone company’s network like other ISPs—we operate a 100% autonomous network.

    The Role:
    -Responding to network emergencies
    -Improving network monitoring and insight
    -Addressing and revising any network deficiencies
    -Improving our overall network stability
    -Configuring equipment
    -Monitoring and maintain the network
    -Testing and assessing new network devices and appliances prior to field implementation
    -Providing tier 2+ support
    -Troubleshooting out in the field
    -Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization – simply and effectively
    -Providing assistance to other markets as needed

    What you bring to it:
    -2 years of switched network experience in a Network Admin or Network Engineer role
    -Superior troubleshooting skills
    -Experience configuring equipment including switches, servers, radios, etc
    -CCNA certification preferred
