Network Architect

The Network
The Webpass network includes thousands of devices, from a diverse group of manufacturers, deployed across four markets. Every day there are opportunities to improve the network, from day-to-day maintenance tasks to longer-term strategic projects. The network topography changes weekly and our BGP and OSPF configurations expand accordingly as we add more locations to our network. The Role
Your responsibility is to facilitate the growth and stability of our network. You will lead the NOC team to help design, deploy, and maintain the Webpass network. Network Construction Technician

The Job
It all starts with you – we need you to construct our network.

You will go into new buildings that we bring on to our network and install and terminate CAT5 and fiber optic cables, bend EMT conduit, create cable pathways, patch and paint drywall, and install radio mounts and grounding systems.

Every building is different so we rely on our technicians to bring a diverse skillset and collaborate well with our stellar team in order to complete each project in a timely manner, all the while maintaining the highest level of workmanship possible.

What you bring to it…
• Superior customer service skills and outgoing personality – your are the face of Webpass in the field
• Four years of network installation experience
• Experience with cat5, cat6, 66 & 110blocks, 25 pair house wires, single-mode and multi-mode patch panels, and termination of fiber
• Low voltage installation experience and basic electrical skills
• General knowledge of Ethernet networks, routers, switches, hubs, etc.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving history

IT Help Desk Support

• Acquire, install, maintain, upgrade and configure company-wide systems and programs as needed to support the needs of the organization
• Set standards and policies related to IT assets, data usage, privacy and security

At Webpass, our Technical Support team is integral to supporting our customers and helping our network construction and operations teams scale to our dynamic, and rapidly growing network – now in four cities.

The Role
We are seeking Technical Support Engineers to respond to all customer tickets, resolve any issues our customers report, and work with the entire networking team to improve our network and processes. Additionally, our Technical Support team configures networking equipment before it is deployed and takes on additional projects that support the Network Ops team.

It is an exciting time of growth for Webpass, and we are building a new office in Chicago, which will allow us to scale our Technical Support team and enable them to collaborate, knowledge share, and foster team-wide best practices.

The shift for this role would be Wednesday through Sunday 5:30pm – 2am Central.

•Manage all aspects of the office’s operation including sales, construction, support and engineering.

•Oversee construction and installation schedules, workflows, equipment inventory, and quality of work.

This is no small feat!

This role is integral to our Miami team and involves configuring equipment, monitoring and maintaing the network, providing guidance to our Technical Support Engineers on advance technical support questions, and going out into the field to troubleshoot network issues.

You will respond to network emergencies, improve network monitoring and insight, address and revise any network deficiencies, and improve our overall network stability.

Quite simply, projects and tasks you work on at the beginning of the day, will have a meaningful and real impact on our customers by that night. And you’ll get to be part of a team that is changing the ISP industry, with a cutting edge approach to what a network can and should be.

What you bring to it:
• 2 years of switched network experience in a Network Admin or Engineer role
• Superior troubleshooting skills
• Experience configuring equipment
CCNA certification
