    San Francisco

    User Experience Designer

    Job Summary:
    This position leads user experience at Webpass. The UX Designer is responsible for turning concepts and business requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.

    This role collaborates with Webpass Leadership along with the Development and Marketing teams to provide high quality web, mobile and interactive solutions to further the development of our brand. The position offers a platform where your work has a high level of visibility.

    Job Functions:
    ● Own strategic design and user-experience decisions related to existing system and new functions and features.
    ● Perform user research on all new features and product development.
    ● Ensure that Webpass customers and employees have an optimal user experience on all products, platforms and systems.
    ● Design, develop, test and modify user-centered sites, applications and interactive solutions to drive business goals such as supporting sales, building our brand, launching new markets, and engaging our customers.
    ● Architect, document and develop usable, functional, and effective user experience (UX) solutions for Web (desktop, mobile, and responsive/adaptive).

    Education and Training:
    ● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, UX Design/Experience or equivalent.

    Experience and Skills Required:
    ● 3 years of UI/UX design and development work experience.
    ● Understanding of user-centered design process and principles.
    ● Passion for understanding and designing to users’ desires, needs, and goals.
    ● Good hands on experience using design and prototyping tools like Sketch or Adobe XD and Invision
    ● Working Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.

    Network Administrator

    Webpass from Google Fiber is hiring a Network Administrator to join our San Francisco team!

    The Opportunity
    We’re looking for a dynamic Network Administrator to support our growing network and provide tier II / III support to the Webpass network.

    As a member of our Network Operations team, you’ll have the opportunity to play a significant role in maintaining our network.

    This is a fixed-term role.

    The Network

    The Webpass network includes thousands of network devices, from a diverse group of manufacturers, deployed across 7 cities. The network topography changes weekly and our configurations expand accordingly as we add more locations to our hybrid wireless/fiber network.

    The Role:
    -Responding to network incidents and outages in a timely fashion
    -Identifying, logging, tracking and remediating any network deficiencies
    -Improving network monitoring and insight
    -Improving our overall network stability
    -Monitoring and maintaining the network
    -Configuring equipment
    -Providing tier 2/3 support
    -Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization – simply and effectively
    -Providing assistance to other markets and cross-functional teams as needed
    -Participate in on-call response rotation

    What you bring to it:
    -A customer conscious mindset
    -3+ years of switched network experience in a Network Admin or Network Engineer role
    -Strong understanding of switched network implementation and best practices
    -Superior troubleshooting skills across Layers 1, 2 & 3
    -Experience in configuring and troubleshooting OSPF
    -Experience managing & maintaining network services (DNS, DHCP)
    -Experience managing IPv6 (Our network is dual-stacked)

    Nashville

    Network Construction and Installation Technician

    Webpass is hiring an Installation & Network Construction Technician to join our team in Nashville.

    Webpass is a standalone business unit within Google Fiber (acquired in Aug. 2016) that leverages point-to-point wireless technologies to deliver high-speed broadband services to residents in apartment and condo buildings, as well as small businesses. Webpass currently operates in seven markets: San Francisco, San Diego, Miami, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle, and Austin. Webpass is revolutionizing what customers can expect from their Internet Service Provider. We do one thing, and we do it really well.

    The schedule is Monday-Friday, and may include weekend work. This position will move to a Tuesday-Saturday schedule after some time. This position is a fixed-term role.

    Requirements:
    -1 year of pulling, terminating and testing CAT5/ CAT6 in residential and commercial environments
    -Experience troubleshooting Ethernet network issues related to routers, switches and hubs
    -Recent experience with: Rack and stack work, putting together server racks, Closet work, and Patch panels
    -Ability to engage with the customer and communicate effectively
    -Able to present self in a professional and positive manner
    -Excellent time management skills to make set appointment times
    -Valid driver’s license.
    -Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely.

    Responsibilities:

    Residential Installation:
    We build our network specifically to deliver Internet, so it is a quick and easy install for both you and our customers
    -Verify the jack is punched down correctly
    -Make any required cross connects to complete the connection all the way back to the telecom closet
    -Set up the customer’s router

    Network Construction:
    You will build, troubleshoot, upgrade and maintain our Network! Every building is different so we rely on our technicians to bring a diverse skill set, exercise solid judgment, and collaborate well as a team. Bringing new buildings onto our network includes:
    -Conduct site surveys
    -Design cable pathways
    -Run and terminating CAT6 cables
    -Install radio mounts and grounding systems
    -Mount switches and POEs
    -Point microwave point-to-point radios and testing for service

    Working Conditions:
    -Ability to work in tight spaces.
    -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    -Ability to work off ladders and lifts.
    -Ability to properly use required PPE.

    Account Executive

    Webpass is looking for an Account Executive to join the Miami team. The Account Executive is self driven and motivated to succeed on their own, and also understands the importance of fostering and maintaining a sense of team and community. As an Account Executive for Webpass, you will own relationships with our property partners, be a key driver of our growth, and be an advocate for our efforts to deliver high-quality broadband services to residents and businesses.

    This position is a fixed-term role.

    Job Responsibilities

    I-ntroduce new residential properties and commercial clients to Webpass and show them why Webpass provides a better Internet experience
    -Explain how our network works, why it is a great solution for properties and customers
    -Manage the sales process to completion, establishing strong relationships with property developers, property managers, HOAs, and other stakeholders
    -Achieve monthly sales goals, as directed by the market General Manager
    -Maintain a full and healthy funnel built upon a variety of sales activities: cold calling, prospecting, mailers, warm follow-ups, and networking
    -Host events and attend HOA or property meetings when necessary
    -Attend site surveys with the Construction Manager.
    -Partner with other Webpass team members to ensure a seamless, end-to-end customer experience and to drive results across key company priorities, including customer growth

    Experience and Skills Required

    -Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work history
    -Two or more years of successful sales experience, telecom industry preferred.
    -A solid understanding of the ISP industry and the Internet.
    -Sense of community with an entrepreneurial spirit.

    -Reliable transportation.
    -Ability to deliver strong results, while working collaboratively with other team members.
    -CRM database experience.
    -Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Seattle

    Relationship Manager

    Webpass (www.webpass.net) is a standalone business unit within Google Fiber (acquired in Aug. 2016) that leverages point-to-point wireless technologies to deliver high-speed broadband services to residents in apartment and condo buildings, as well as small businesses. Webpass operates in eight markets: San Francisco/Oakland, San Diego, Miami, Chicago, Denver, Austin, Seattle, and Nashville.

    We are looking for a Relationship Manager for our Seattle location. This is a fixed-term role.

    The Role
    We’re looking for an energetic individual with a “go-getter” attitude to join our Seattle team. To be successful in this role, you should be a self-starter with the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and close deals. As a Relationship Manager for Webpass, you will be our brand advocate and evangelist. Your key role is maintaining strong relationships with the property management teams, residents, and tenants where Webpass provides Internet service.

    Responsibilities
    -Increase brand awareness by managing relationships with Webpass property managers, customers and potential customers.
    -Become an expert in Webpass technology and product offering
    -Plan and host marketing events in Webpass buildings
    -Be the point of contact for property managers and customers
    -Proactively build relationships with vendors and community partners
    -Communicate leads/opportunities, and provide support to help close agreements to the field Sales Team
    -Execute marking tactics to include direct mail and other marketing activities.
    -Attend networking and community events by actively being involved in city and neighborhood associations.
    -Network with property managers by performing site visits and lunch dates

    Requirements
